Announcing... Clara Lynn LaForge!

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with overflowing joy and gratitude that Heather and I announce the arrival of our daughter, Clara Lynn. After two weeks of strong contractions, Heather was induced on Thursday evening and gave birth to Clara on Friday, March 28 at 1:20 pm. Everything went smoothly, and our baby is perfect and healthy; an absolute sweetheart. We spent two nights in the hospital and came home this afternoon, where we have all done nothing but sleep and eat.

We have felt very supported and loved during this whole process, so thank you so much for your help, prayers, and encouragement. Enjoy some pictures here, and we will keep the blog posted as she sprouts up.

False alarm...

So, it turns out that having contractions 3 minutes apart (and every symptom in the book) doesn't mean you're in active labor! Things have calmed down a lot since Monday. Heather and I are still waiting, and hopefully we'll have an announcement soon, although it still could be awhile. In the meantime we're trying to keep our minds off the baby and have fun, with beach, massage, movies, and (possibly next week) the zoo all involved. State of the Uterus Address

Things are happening! Over the last few weeks, our little girl has oriented herself head-down (how we like it) and dropped into position. And now contractions are underway, so we are hopeful that we'll have some news in the next few days! We would appreciate prayers for everything to go quickly and smoothly.
