Elsa Adventures

We've been busy these last couple months and the blog has been neglected.
In order to keep one post from being too long, I separated it into two: the first focusing on Elsa and the second on Clara. (See Clara's post below.)

Elsa is NINE months now. She is a hoot.

Within one week (my tech week for Aladdin) Elsa got two teeth and started crawling. This caused her to freak out a bit and made sleeping almost non-existent, but she's back on track now.

Elsa has long been referred to as Easy E in our house because of her laid-back attitude. Recently she's begun trying to prove our nickname null and void, as she has become a bit more mischievous. Anything on the floor is fair game for her mouth and she recently learned how to take the socket covers out of the socket. So much for baby proofing!

I love this "who me?" face.

Many pictures of Elsa are of her on the floor. This is where she is happiest and will wrestle her way out of our arms to get there.

Her hair is growing, as you can see. Drew adores her shaggy look.

Elsa is a joy. We can't get enough of her.

Clara Adventures

Clara has been busy these last few months.
It turns out three is a big year; she'll tell you all about it.

From a parent's perspective: three is hilarious. I spend many a day cracking up at the things Clara says. She is bright, loquacious, cautious, and curious. In short, Clara brings us great exhaustion and great joy.

Clara refuses to wear anything other than dresses these days. She is a very girly girl.

Kickin' it with her bud, Eli.

On Clara's last day of school, the kiddos put on a little show for the families. Clara got to stand between her two best buddies: Violet and Lyla.

Clara Ballerina

Clara started ballet in April. I began classes when I was three and I was thrilled to have a daughter follow in that tradition. My hesitant little girl is quite the dancer, but she so far refuses to dance unless I take part in the class too. Thankfully, the teacher is happy to have my help.

Why yes, that is Elsa on my hip.

Working on our piourettes.

Tongue out. Check.

Just look at that turn out.
Yes, my child is a rule follower: pink tights, pink leotard, pink shoes, NO skirt ("no, mama. I am not supposed to wear a skirt"), and bun. Awesome.

I took a ballet class at the studio this week too. It was me and several of my CYT students. They avoided standing by me at the barre and I think were surprised to learn that Dr. LaForge actually knows what she's doing on the dance floor.
